A few years ago, Lynn Johnson, an Indiana-based grandfather, realized he had to do something about his iconic turtle hat. The headgear he wore literally everywhere — even to his daughter’s wedding — was falling apart.

The company that made the animal caps had long since gone out of business, so Johnson took it upon himself to get into the turtle-hat-making biz himself, officially launching The Turtle Hat Store in 2016.
In addition to the Classic Turtle hat with the beige base, they also ones with black and white bases, as well as a Sand Dollar hat and a Sea Turtle hat.
