Aliens and UFOs

Credit: Cassie Tucker

Origins:

Outer space of course, but popular earth sighting locations include Roswell, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, and Colorado.

Legend:

Even though there have been UFO sightings and alien abduction claims across the country, most claims tend to take place in middle-of-nowhere spots out west. Take for instance, the 1947 UFO crash in Roswell. The military announced they had found remains of a UFO wreck, but later retracted their statement, claiming it was actually the remains of a military air balloon. However, witnesses said there were, in fact, alien bodies in the wreckage that were taken to Area 51, a highly classified remote base, to be researched.
