The Boggy Creek Monster

The Boggy Creek Monster, otherwise known as The Fouke Monster, is described as a smelly ape-like creature with shaggy dark hair, big red eyes, and three toes (at least according to its purported foot-prints). It has been mostly seen in the woods around Fouke, and has been accused of stealing farm animals. It’s basically Bigfoot but meaner, possibly due to bitterness over having less toes.

The Fouke Monster Mart is a family-run store 15 miles southeast from the state line of Texas that is dedicated to preserving the history of the creature. You can’t miss the giant monster torso towering over the storefront, and just outside of the store there is a faceless standee of the Boggy Creek Monster that’s just begging to be used for a photo op. Inside the mart, you can purchase books and souvenirs related to the monster, and take a look at the mural and vintage news articles they have on display.
